Lake of the Pines is a gated community with 1,937 lots developed on 1,320 acres with the lots ranging from 1/4 acre to 6.5 acres (average1/3 acre).  The lake is man made and is approximately 230 acres with 5.5 miles of shoreline.  Magnolia Creek feeds the lake and additional water is purchased from Nevada Irrigation District to maintain a consistent level throughout the year.

Other facilities include Bridge Club, Bible Study Class, Men's and Women's Golf Clubs, Masons, Firebells, Bingo, RVer's Club, Water Ski club, and a Bowling League.

Your shopping and housekeeping needs are provided by three shopping centers all within 1/2 mile of Lake of the Pines.

There are hospitals in Grass Valley and Auburn and Kaiser is in Sacramento and Roseville.

There are approximately 50 churches of various denominations within 15 miles.

The average summer temperature is in the mid 80's and  winter temperatures are in the mid 30's with an average rainfall of 40 inches insuring good gardening weather.

A 24 hour security force is maintained with restricted access to the development, and 24 hour patrol.
